History

HELMET Soldiers was formed by Dennis Knight in 1969 to introduce high quality, value for money 1:32 scale - 54mm - plastic kits into a market place that was vibrant, with the quickly growing pastime of toy soldiers, collectors’ miniatures and war games. HELMET Soldiers could, and still can, be used in all three aspects of the hobby. The range, designed by David Pomeroy grew over the succeeding months and remains the same to this day.

The company was subsequently purchased and run by George Hill who finally sold HELMET Soldiers to Eric Kemp in April 2007.

This unique and historic collection of plastic warriors will now be made available to a wider public. We will maintain, respect and acknowledge the HELMET history, but will develop what is currently available with new releases form the existing kits and, as soon as possible, we hope to extend that with further items, both kits and spare parts to appeal to toy soldier enthusiasts everywhere.

Another chapter in the history of HELMET Soldiers has just begun!
